Today i learn about contextual clues..Actally i do not like learn about this because i do not know and i cannot understand..In conclusion contextual clues are:
DEFINITION :
Contextual clues help you to guess the meaning of words.These clues are given in a sentences or a passage..
TYPES OF CONTEXTUAL CLUES :

Ø Antonym
Ø Rewording
Ø Details
TYPES OF CLUES AND THEIR EXPLANATION :
· Restatement ( a sentence is sometimes elaborated to help the the reader understand information )
· Opposite ( this opposite meaning of a difficult word can be given to help understanding )
· Experience and logical deduction ( our own experience and logical deduction help to work out the meaning of a word )
· Surrounding words ( information given before or after a sentence which contains anew word can explain its meaning )
· Definition ( some sentences give the actual definition of a word )
· Punctuation marks or help words ( punctuation marks or help words help to work out he meaning of a word )
· Familiar word ( some sentences use a familiar word to help explain a new word )
· Examples ( an example can be given to explain a difficult word )
